Abstract

Palermo has been recounted numerous times: its history, cultural evolutions and urban contortions have been the subject of the passion and expertise of authoritative scholars, yet a figure of hybrid investigation between identity and project is missing. What is needed is a projected biography, an account of events with an eye on the horizon of the future and a proposal for projects fuelled by the sensibilities of history, memory and the plural identities of the city.
