Music to make light

Abstract

Music and light have always had an implicit or explicit mutual connection. The one and the other often refer to each other and sometimes become so close that they merge into each other. In a recent volume by Gianni Bietti, significantly titled 'The Music of Light', he explores the most fertile period of this implicit union: that of the Enlightenment, or rather that which crosses the spirit of the Enlightenment, or rather the light of reason that was to guide men's practical actions.
