Dynamo Camp

Recreational architecture

Abstract

After 20 years, Italy's first Camp was born: on the initiative of the Dynamo Foundation, a venture philanthropy foundation born in 2003 from an idea of Vincenzo Manes, the complex of industrial buildings of the former SMI Società Metallurgica Italiana, now Europa Metalli of the KME group, in Limestre, on the slopes of the Pistoia Apennines, is recovered and converted. For once, the reclamation of a vast disused industrial area located in an outstanding environmental context, declared a Natural Oasis by the WWF, is not aimed at its speculative exploitation but at philanthropy.
