Abstract

The dawn of the 21st century, characterised by the worsening of racial and cultural conflicts, which the confrontation between Capitalism and Communism had deluded us into believing had subsided, has brought to light a truth invisible only to our Western system, based on widespread prosperity and the work-vacation cycle, which has excluded the concern for subsistence: generalising, the rest of the world does not even know what the average population, average consumption, average needs are.
