Roots in stone
Peter Rich Architects, Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre
Abstract
Interpretation Centre is an English phrase meaning 'institution for the dissemination of knowledge of the cultural and natural heritage' of a country or people. Rich expresses its dual purpose through an architecture that certainly has more to do with landscape architecture and technology than with building and town planning.
