Mute prism
EXiT associated architects, family chapel in Padua
Abstract
In the difficult task of working in architecture by dialoguing with 'absolute' themes, such as life and death, without falling into the temptation of easy rhetoric, the EXiT (Loschi-Pagano-Panetto) design group has created a family chapel for the Cimitero Maggiore in Padua that stands as a monolithic icon dedicated to silence and reflection, a pure form, a mute prism with a smooth, grave stone surface.
