Metamorphic Identity
Fashion Transformations with Artificial Intelligence
Abstract
The following contribution intends to investigate the impact of AI on design processes, critically analysing the design mutations taking place. Starting from the analysis of three case studies in which designers and AI collaborate in fashion conception and design phases, the reflection will highlight the methodologies through which this phenomenon manifests itself. In particular, we will question the new synergies between humanity and computation, how the figure of the fashion designer is changing, and how fashion design is being transformed by defining a plurality of identity territories that incorporate visual codes, occupy physical spaces and recall hybridised cultures.
