Systemic Design to co-create value

Data-driven scraps’ for new products

Abstract

The design industry, characterised by a linear supply chain model, needs a shift towards a more conscious approach. This article explores the potential of co-creation and circular design to address this challenge by involving consumers in the design process, promoting the creation of more durable products, minimising waste and maximising resource efficiency throughout the product life cycle. In conclusion, the article presents some case studies of designers who have successfully adopted this approach and developed sustainable and trend-setting products.
