Models of temporariness

Setting up as a configurable, sustainable, activating system

Abstract

The contribution reflects on temporariness—a pervasive condition of contemporary design—by analysing exhibition solutions dedicated to culture. The proposal of an expandable classification views an exhibition's temporariness not merely as an ephemeral characteristic but as an embryonic condition that allows design practice to expand towards unconventional models, triggering processes of shared knowledge and interpreting aspects related to sustainability.
