The ecological turn to exhibiting
The museum dimension at the time of sustainability
Abstract
The paper develops a critical analysis system to understand the sustainability and quality aspects of exhibiting. To do so, it identifies the Codes of Exhibiting, which can be defined as new keys to interpreting exhibitions and helpful in constructing a new value apparatus in Exhibit Design. The analysis pays particular attention to the complexity of the Environment Code, which is linked to sustainability, and explores its design potential.
