Bodies in/through space
A case study of vertical dance and mobile installations
Abstract
The transitory nature of performance today emerges as a tool to foster the ability to embrace the unknown in an era marked by continuous and uncontrollable transformations. Through direct interaction with places, site-specific practices overturn the traditional perception of spaces, offering new perspectives. The project Bodies in/through Space, carried out in Venice in the spring of 2024, explores these dynamics by involving interior design students and vertical dance performers in a creative and critical reinterpretation of urban space.
