Staging the Grand Tour

Interweaving fashion, art and culture in Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda settings

Abstract

The relationship between fashion and cultural heritage develops interesting and unprecedented narratives, posing new challenges to curatorial and exhibition systems. Dolce & Gabbana's ten-year Grand Tour links haute couture to the richness of Italian heritage and has been translated into an exhibition with an exceptional scenographic and communicative impact. At the same time, the Alta Moda staging in the Archaeological Park of Nora marks a further step in the interweaving of fashion, art, and heritage.
