Abstract

In recent years, the changes that have taken place in ceramic building products have been genuinely significant in many respects. Ceramics is one of the oldest materials used by man, and its versatility and intrinsic characteristics have allowed it to be used for a wide range of purposes: as a building material, decorative, and protective. For every condition, ceramics can offer an adequate and often more effective response than stone or wood.
