Challenging the white gaze to promote inclusive narratives

Abstract

Museums are institutions dedicated to collecting, studying, caring and displaying various materials of historical and cultural significance. However, in the current context, these institutions face a fundamental challenge: confronting their colonial past and the methods used to obtain some of the artefacts in their possession.
