Spatial Coherence

Duccio Ferroni, housing renovation in Palazzo Capponi, Florence

  • Fabio Rosseti

Abstract

It is interesting to see an architect at work on interventions of a completely different scale; it is interesting, but not obvious, to see how nothing changes in the design methodology and cultural approach when faced with two interventions that are so different but at the same time very similar. In this case, it was a question of recovering and making liveable a space, originally inhabited but abandoned for years, located in the attic of Palazzo Capponi, one of the most interesting Florentine palaces.
