Abstract
In Italian, the word ‘design’ is strictly associated with interior design. It is a noun that is inextricably linked to the Italian culture of industrial design, and therefore it is precisely and specifically applied to the professional discipline of design. In the English language (and therefore in all parts of the world), the word ‘design’ signifies both the project and the plan. It addresses linking thoughts, ideas and concepts of a project - all conveyed through the design.
