Emergency Life support

Tam Associati, Salam cardiac surgery center

Abstract

Two-sided places, full of hope and full of pain. Architectural transpositions by Giano. In worlds at war, the spaces and places occupied by Emergency are bastions of peace, rights, support and equality. This renders their buildings marks of a frontier where «Opposing forces encounter each other, often clash, and at other times meet, nonetheless coming into difficulty».1 These are frontiers that lead us into territories where previous certainties and assurances fail and we are brought into the realm of uncertainty.

This frontier, designed by Tam Associati, is also the Salam Cardiac Surgery Center in Sudan.
